I will be at Cataract for conferences on Tuesday, October 14 from 3:30-4:30. I will be at Lakeview Montessori from 4:45 -6:30 P.M.
I will be at Meadowview Intermediate from 3:30-6:30 on October 16 and again Friday morning from 7:30-10:30 A. M. Please look for me in the library.

October MV Music News
October Music News MVI 2008
Students are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the recorders. We will not start working on them officially until Oct. 24th for 4th grade and January for 5th grade. Any students bringing recorders from home should bring them to music beginning Oct. 21st.
We will continue playing rhythms and singing rounds and partner songs to hear harmony. We have been doing worksheets and other activities to help us learn musical terms, dynamics and tempo markings. Watch for homework assignments connected with that. Some students have been late with worksheets. Students have music on days 3, 4, or 5 at Meadowview. Please remind them to be prepared for class. We have been working on music vocabulary. Most musical terms are in Italian because that is where they originated from so you may hear vocabulary that doesn’t sound familiar. 4th grade will soon be learning note names on the staff.
We will also be singing and listening to majors and minor tonality. Halloween songs are primarily in minor. We will have some fun accompanying and singing seasonal songs.
I have a wonderful group of singers in 5th grade choir, “The Meadowlarks”. We are working on our breathing and vocal technique. We are also practicing songs for Veterans Day.
